St. Louis County (County) is soliciting bids for landscape and water quality maintenance consisting of mowing, hand pulling of weeds, spot use of herbicide, litter control, mulching, silt removal, plant watering and replacement of dead plantings in designated Bioretention / Rain Garden, Modular BMP Systems, and Pond / Wetland areas along Shackelford Road in Florissant MO. I. SCOPE OF WORK A. Landscape and hardscape maintenance from January 1 through December 31 must include: 1. Litter removal, redistribution of mulch and silt removal to keep all drains totally clear and free of any obstructions that would prevent complete water drainage. 2. From April 1 through October 31, Contractor must also: a. Mow. b. Hand pull weeds. c. Water plants as needed. d. Replace dead plants. e. With prior written approval of County Storm Water Manager, apply spot use of pre-approved herbicide. County shall apply a 5% bid discount to bid submittals from certified MBE/WBEs during the evaluation of such bid. Question date 8:00 A.M. prevailing Central Time July 18, 2023 The initial term of the contract will be two years from date of full execution. PERFORMANCEBONDS The successful Bidder shall furnish a corporate surety bond, payable to St. Louis County Treasurer, to insure the faithful performance under the contract. This bond, all or part, will be forfeited to the County in the event that the terms of the contract are not met by the successful Bidder. LABOR AND MATERIAL BOND Bond must be equal to 100% of the total amount payable by terms of the contract.
