Site work for a water / sewer project in Burlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work involves removing and replacing the current fuel island and two double- walled FRP underground storage tanks (USTS). Both the fuel island and USTS will be replaced with new equipment of the same kind. The UST's consist of one (1) 10,000-gallon gasoline UST and one (1) 6,000-gallon diesel UST. The project will be divided into two phases. The first phase will entail demolishing and installing the fuel island, along with its associated equipment, as well as ordering the USTs. The second phase will involve removing the old UST's and installing the new ones The required contract completion period is 365 consecutive days. Phase I will be 105 days and Phase 2 will be 260 days Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent of the bid The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
