Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a detention facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Design plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and for the construction of a detention facility.
Scope: two buildings spanning 473,880 square feet to be developed in phases and connected via a skywalk. The existing building would be decommissioned and partially demolished. The result, when combined with the existing Correctional Treatment Facility, itself slated for renovations, would be a 1.1-million-square-foot corrections complex with a 2,000-bed capacity and 400 garage parking spaces. As of March 18, 2025, the project is in the planning and programming phase. The project requires funding.
