Site work for a water / sewer project in Asheville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County will be rebidding project Generally consisting of the furnishing of all services, supplies, materials and equipment, and performing of all labor for the construction and installation of approximately 1,325 L.F. of 8-inch DIP mainline sewer by open cut and 692 L.F. of 8-inch HDPE by pipe bursting, including manholes and all appurtenances related thereto. Contractors planning to submit a bid for DISTRICT projects must purchase an official set of plans and specifications in order to be a registered plan holder. A non-refundable deposit of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) is required. Orders for plans and specifications which are to be delivered by parcel post or other carriers will not be accepted for a period of five (5) days prior to bid date. Each bidder must have current North Carolina licenses for all work for the project, and be appropriately licensed as a Contractor as provided in Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statute. Each Bidder must comply with MSD's Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Business. Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit with the Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County of cash, or a cashier's check, or a certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. In lieu of making the cash deposit as above described, a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid, executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, shall be submitted with each bid, conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the oblige upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The DISTRCT reserves the right to reject any and all bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any bidder The DISTRICT also reserves the right to waive informalities
