The Project consists of the construction and installation of all necessary materials and equipment for the Carbon Cliff Water interconnect, including but not limited to, water main, valves, hydrants, fittings, and restoration, along with miscellaneous appurtenances and incidental work. A bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of East Moline, Illinois in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each proposal. Bids shall be valid for 60 days.The City of East Moline will not discriminate against any person because of race, color or religion, sex or national origin. All contracts for the Construction of Public Works in the City of East Moline are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is lowest and/or best for the proposed project. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Work will be substantially complete on or before December 1, 2023, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before May 31, 2024.
