The One Sumter Economic Development Foundation (One Sumter) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms. The engineering services contract will encompass all project-related engineering, surveying, and architectural services required for the construction of a new multi-purpose community park and amphitheater, the Pearly Brown Park & Amphitheater (PBP), on an approximately 6.7-acre parcel in Americus, Georgia. A previously completed conceptual master plan for PBP will serve as a guide and reference tool in the planned three phase development process, wherein each phase represents a fully usable park and incremental progress towards the ultimate completion of the overall project. Significant funding for the first phase of the project will be provided through a federal Community Project Funding Grant administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; therefore, all design services, procurement, construction, record keeping, and reporting must comply with applicable HUD standards & requirements.
