Estimated Bid Value 1000000.00 Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 08/09/2023 9:41 AM (PDT) Evaluate the existing 24" transmission main from the intersection of Garden St and Mission St, where the new Desal Conveyance Line will connect, to the Cater Water Treatment Plant and identify transmission main rehabilitation methods to best convey desalinated water to the Cater WTP. The project will also need to develop a mixing system to blend the desalinated water with the Cater WTP flow to prevent reverse flow. License Requirements A general engineering This maintenance and repair project includes pipeline and appurtenance rehabilitation and renewal tasks along existing 24" and 30" Water Transmission Mains as stipulated on the Contract Drawings. The work generally includes the removal, replacement and/or addition of plug valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, combination air vacuum release assemblies with isolation valves, blow-off assemblies with isolation valves, capping and abandoning corporation stop valves, and main line and branch line piping, fittings, couplings, appurtenances, etc. The valves, piping, assemblies, and appurtenances range in size from 3" diameter to 30" diameter. Some of the work is located in existing confined space vaults, while other locations are direct buried requiring excavation and shoring. Also included in the Contract is providing video inspection, and associated documentation, as stipulated herein. The work includes utility shut down coordination with City of Santa Barbara Water Department, utility locating, traffic control as necessary to protect public safety, neighborhood notifications, safety, dewatering of manholes, vaults, groundwater dewatering, temporary and permanent asphalt, striping, removal and re-installation of vault lids, new manhole risers, rings and covers, coatings rehab, surface preparation, new coatings, disinfection and testing of water lines, restoration of existing site conditions including pavement, landscaping, private property improvements, wall repairs, or other repairs, SWPPP requirements, general vault clean up and rehabilitation, adherence to Caltrans requirements within CA Route 192 right-of-way, and all necessary permits, utility company coordination, etc. as necessary to perform the work.
