Refer to the Contract Documents for the project limits. The work site is located approximately 320 feet east of the intersection of Mickle Hollow Road and Sitzer Road. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: The replacement of Mickle Hollow Road Culvert over Tributary to the Cobleskill Creek with new 16'-0" clear span precast concrete three-sided units. There will be 350 ft. of roadway reconstruction work over the new structure and on the approach roadway. Installation of new steel bridge railing and transition bridge railing. The Town of Cobleskill reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Town of Cobleskill before any award of contract may be made. Receipt of bids by the Town shall not be construed as authority to bind the Town. Bidders shall promptly notify the Engineer of any errors, omissions, conflicts or ambiguity within the Contract Documents within 14 days of the bid opening. Work may begin on or after April 1, 2027, unless otherwise approved in writing by the Engineer in Charge. The work will be substantially completed on or before September 3, 2027, and completed and ready for final payment on October 22, 2027. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds guaranteeing performance of work and prompt payment from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The successful Bidder and all subcontractors must have an approved CCA2 on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded a contract.
