Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cookeville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,500-square-foot educational facility.
Tennessee Tech is seeking bids from a qualified company to establish a contract to provide gym floor repair and refinishing services. The Contractor is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to provide floor repair and refinishing services at Memorial Gym. Specifications: o Area: Approximately 7,500 square feet (60 feet x 125 feet) o Material: Hardwood o Clean the floor thoroughly ensuring that all foreign matter has been removed including striping and cupping of boards. o Inspect the floor and check for any damaged areas. Damaged areas are to be reported to the Director of Facilities or the Maintenance and Paint Supervisor. o Sand the entire floor with power sanders. o At completion of sanding, vacuum and clean floors. o Re-inspect to ensure no damage took place. Cover all sleeves to ensure they are not coated with finish. o Apply two (2) coats of high-quality gym floor finish. o Reinstall striping to original design, including the logo in center of floor. o Apply third coat of finish over striping to seal everything. o Finished floor will have a uniform smooth appearance with no visible swirl marks. Tennessee Tech will pay Contractor for services rendered upon receipt of invoice(s) to the Tennessee Tech Business Office, PO Box 5037, Cookeville, TN 38505 or emailed to apinvoice@tntech.edu. Tennessee Tech will make final payment only upon completion of services.
