The scope of the proejct is to reconstruct approximately a 1.2 mile segment of the roadway of Sierra Sunset Road in east Bexar County. The limits of the project are from North Foster Road to approximately 380 feet east of the intersection Marin Island. This projec will include curb/sidewalks, bike lanes, storm sewer and new traffic signal at Woodlake Intersection. Note: San Antonio Water System (SAWS) and CPS Energy Gas utilities will be joint bidding with Bexar County to adjust and/or replace existing services within the project limits The general prevailing wage rates are established by the most current General Decision Number for Heavy Construction, listing Bexar County, State of Texas. A copy of the general prevailing wage rates is included in and shall become a part of these specifications. A cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the order of Bexar County, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the successful bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute bonds on the standard forms provided, as outlined in the specifications and contract documents.A Performance Bond, in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, will be required. A Payment Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Delay penalties for this contract shall be $700.00 per working day for each day beyond the specified 443 working days completion time. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any formalities.
