Site work for a water / sewer project in Goochland, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

1. Upsize approximately 700 linear feet of existing waterline at the J. Sergeant Reynolds campus from 4-inch to 12-inch. 2. Install a backflow preventer on the fire line at J. Sergeant Reynolds. The project will increase fire flow capacity to achieve 1,500 gallons per minute for 2 hours as stated in Appendix B of the 2012 Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code, which was adopted by the BOS and is part of the Goochland County Code. It is also listed as an identified improvement in the 2020 Utility Master Plan. This project is included in the city’s 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 24, 2024, project is funded for construction in FY2028 and Engineering in FY2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
