Renovation of a mixed-use development in Ottawa, Ontario. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

CHEO’s Development and Rehabilitation (D&R) department is having to vacate its current placement within the second floor of the Max Keeping Wing ahead of its relocation to the new 1Door4Care Integrated Treatment Centre, scheduled to open in late 2027. Internal studies have defined a plan to make use of available space at two locations: leased space at 2211Thurston Road, and existing on-campus space within the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (OCTC) and Annex. Both D&R and OCTC offer specialized inpatient and outpatient pediatric occupational and physical therapy programs, employing similar consultation treatment, and therapy spaces. TIMELINE: Updates on design will not be released. Tender will be issued upon owner's decision to proceed, timing will not be released for publication.
