Site Directions: Southeast corner of 183rd St. and Ridgeland Ave. Landscaping, Water Resources Infrastructure, Water Infrastructure (Water Meters) This project shall consist of the removal of the two (2) existing water meters and associated strainers, and installation of two (2) new 16-inch water meters within existing water meter vaults in Tinley Park at Post 2, at the Southeast corner of 183rd Street and Ridgeland Avenue. The work will also include the installation of two (2) vaults above the existing water main with a 1-inch corp stop tapped into the existing main. The scope of this work shall include but not be limited to the following: . Remove existing water meters and strainers. . Install new water meters, provided by the Village, including electrical installation and Pipe accessories as needed to fit existing. . Pressure test and disinfect water meter prior to being placed into service. . Construct concrete valve vaults for the corp stops. . Tap existing main with each corp stop. . Restore the surface of the disturbed areas to be the same or better than the preconstruction condition This project shall consist of the removal and installation of two pre-purchased water meters with all necessary appurtenances, and two corporation stops with valve vaults, as according to the plans and special provisions. Bids will only be accepted from experienced Contractors who are under contract for and/or have completed a minimum of 3 (three) municipal or private utility water meter vault installations in Illinois or Indiana in the last 10 years with a minimum contract price of $150,000.
