Construction, installation, and setting-to-work of an external stand-alone gravity-flow ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system. Work under this Section shall consist of the testing of concrete wetwells, tanks, channels and any other concrete liquid holding structures located at the project site. These Specifications are intended to provide assurance of watertight structures. Contractor shall coordinate and pay all costs associated with testing requirements, including, but not limited to: pumping equipment, gauges, valves, plugs and supports. The Owner will make available the water necessary for testing from existing systems at cost to Contractor. The Contractor shall provide the means of filling the structure which is acceptable to Engineer/Owner. Sources of water other than potable water shall be submitted to Engineer/Owner for acceptance. Water payment shall be made to the municipality providing the water at their current water rate. Contractor shall provide Engineer/Owner written notice to commence testing procedures. Engineer/Owner and Contractor will conduct pre-test inspection of structures. Contractor shall promptly repair any surfaces showing signs of honeycombing, cracks, tie wire holes or stone pockets as required per section 03 30 00 General - upgrade to the wastewater treatment plant including but not limited to, the following: Construction of a new UV Disinfection tank and pole barn cover. Work includes general site construction, concrete/masonry tankage and building construction, equipment installation and process/site piping, bypass piping, bypass pumping and valves, grading and restoration. Work includes minor HVAC components of fan and louver. - Electrical - site work, trenching, upgrades and modifications to panels, wiring, conduit, fixtures, devices, connections to UV Equipment, motors, controls, lighting, terminations, new control wiring and panels. Wiring to fan and louver.
