Wor-Wic Community College requests proposals from qualified contractors to provide all labor, materials, and equipment to perform maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection of its sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, and intrusion alarm system at the main campus in Salisbury, MD. Refer to Attachment A for the full scope of work. This request for proposals contains three (3) separate services, which may be bid individually or in its entirety: fire sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, and fire and intrusion alarm system monitoring. Those bidding on the alarm system portion of the scope, must be certified to test, inspect and maintain Edwards systems and must use Edwards OEM parts or UL certified products. The Suppression System in section 5.2 is a Sapphire System located in SH. Maintenance of this system is not included in this contract. There is a sole source contractor who performs the maintenance. Bidders for the alarm system must be on site during the semi-annual maintenance. Bidders for the fire sprinklers must perform the pre-action service for the semi-annual maintenance. The annual inspection of backflow preventers required in this scope of work is a visual while performing the PM's. The detailed backflow preventer test and inspection is part of a separate contract. Notice to Proceed will be issued prior to September 16, 2023. The initial contract period will be for three (3) years: October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2026. Bid prices must be fixed during this period.
