Site work and renovation of a civil project in Kenora, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Northwest Angle 33 First Nation is proceeding with upgrades to the existing treatment plant in the community of Dog Paw. The community is located 55 km southeast of Kenora, Ontario, on the southern shore of Dog Paw. The reserve lands are accessible year-round via Highway 71. The general scope of work consists of the following: - Expansion of an existing water treatment plant and underground concrete reservoir. The building expansion will be a pre-engineered steel building with a building footprint of 14.7 m x 11.7 m over a 228 cubic metre concrete reservoir. - Renovate the existing 160 square water treatment plant building. - Installation of a pre-selected hollow fibre nano filtration membrane treatment system with a capacity of 269 cubic metres per day. - Supply and installation of new raw water pumping systems with new raw water intake piping, distribution pumping systems, chemical feed systems, process piping and UV disinfection system - Supply and installation of new lighting, heating and ventilation systems - Installation of a pre-purchased genset and MCC. - Careful staging of upgrades is required to allow the existing water treatment plant to operate without interruption. The General Contractor will be required to retain a certified water treatment plant operator to operate the new water treatment plant during portions of construction. - Construction of a settling tank system for process waste water, and the relocation of an existing residential septic field. - The water treatment system has been pre-arranged with Delco Water. General Contractor to sign a Novation Agreement and co-ordinate installation works with Delco Water. - The MCC and Genset equipment pre-purchase is currently out for tender. General Contractor to sign a Novation Agreement and co-ordinate installation works with the successful supplier. Additional information will be provided with the General Contractor Tender. Interested General Contractors who have expertise in wastewater or water treatment plant construction are invited to submit Pre-Qualification Documents.
