402-23-758 Garage Floor Repairs Togus, Maine VA Medical Center Procurement Number: 36C24124R0002 Design-Build This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. A Request for Proposal will be posted on or about Monday, August 14, 2023. The Garage Floor Repairs project will be Design-Build to correct existing structural slab deficiencies on the Ground Floor of Building 201 at the VA Maine Health Care System (Togus). The garage floor is comprised of both an 8 thick structural slab, and a 4 topping layer. Chloride content in samples taken in both the topping and structural slab indicate content exceeds the allowable threshold as defined by the American Concrete Institute (ACI). VA Maine has possession of a floor evaluation detailing the depth of chloride penetration, delamination, load analysis of underneath structural steel, and recommendations for repair. This report shall serve as an initial condition survey for the design/build contractor. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS code for the procurement is 238110 (Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors) and the size standard is $19.0 million. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under FAR Part 15. This solicitation is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside.
