As of April 16, 2024, project was awarded to Narron Contracting, Inc. , awarded amount is $371,331.25. The FOREST RIDGE RD. STORM PIPE LINING REPAIRS project will be located along Forest Ridge Rd. between Spring Dr. and Buck Branch Dr. Proposed improvements will consist of in-situ repairs to the existing 60"W x 48" H CMP arch pipe which crosses underneath the road. A new cast-in-place headwall will be constructed on the upstream (north) side of the road along with streambank stabilization measures. Additionally, streambank stabilization measures will be installed on the downstream (south) side, specifically on the left bank looking downstream around the existing dumpster pad. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bid bond in an amount equal to not less than five per cent (5%) of the proposal, said deposit to be retained by the TOWN as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful BIDDER to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish a performance bond executed on the form bound herein by a surety company duly authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish a payment bond executed on the form found herein by a surety company duly authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, as security for the payments of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with this contract. The goals for participation by minority firms as subcontractors on this project have been set at 10%.
