Renovation of an educational facility in Ridgeway, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A. All work shown on drawings and/or called for in these specifications shall be performed under the General Contract, unless specifically noted to the contrary in the Contract Documents. Generally speaking, the project consists of Elevator addition for Drewry Mason elementary school, 45 Drewry Mason School Rd, Ridgeway, VA 24148 B. The General Contractor shall be: 1. Responsible for the general management of the project. 2. Responsible for hiring all subcontractors. 3. The sole arbitrator of the division of work of all trades, including the patching, repairing and repainting of existing surfaces that may be damaged by work under this contract. Repair to match surrounding surfaces. WORK NOT INCLUDED IN THIS CONTRACT: A. Removal of asbestos work. B. Moveable furniture and room furnishings C. Relocation of moveable furniture A Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required of all bidders regardless of amount. Bidders shall be required to bind their bid for 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding procedures. The contract for the project shall be awarded on a lump sum basis of the Base Bid. Contractor registration in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia is required Question Deadline 08/01/2025 The latest date for receipt by the Architect of bidders' questions to be answered prior to receipt of bids will be Close of Business .
