Project includes the resurfacing of approximately 5,800 square yards of pavement through milling and overlaying with the addition of a concrete ribbon curb on each side of the roadway being contingent upon acceptance of an additive alternate bid. Base Bid: $167,200 Additive Alternate: $118,500 Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified cashier's check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, payable to Village of Salado in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. These bonds must remain in effect until one year after the date when final payment becomes due or until completion of the correction period specified in Paragraph 15.08, whichever is later, except as provided otherwise by Laws or Regulations, the terms of a prescribed bond form, the Supplementary Conditions, or other provisions of the Contract. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Village of Salado, appear to be in its best interest.
