Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: SMUMC MNP AIR HANDLING UNIT 8 REPLACEMENT Project Number 945908.01 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Replacement of existing Air Handler Unit 8 (AHU) located on the roof of the Merle Norman Pavilion at Santa Monica Medical Center. The scope of work includes connection of existing AHU 7 and AHU 6A to areas serviced by AHU 8, demolition of AHU 8, provision of HVAC controls, variable frequency drives, ductwork, piping, valves, anchoring, and hoisting equipment; testing and balancing; and repairs to building and roof finished impacted by the work. Work shall also include connecting existing AHU 6A to areas services by existing AHU 4 and demolition and removal of AHU 4. Contractor shall obtain crane permit from the City of Santa Monica. All crane work shall be performed on Sat from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and shall include all traffic control around hospital streets.
