The instructions contained in this letter shall govern your inspection of all work sites where work will be performed under the above contract. For access to and movement over those portions of the prospective job site within the Authority's right-of way, the prospective bidders shall adhere to and be governed by the "Regulations Relating to the Control of Traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike." Access to those portions of the sites outside the right-of-way fence and available from local roads will not be restricted. When use of Authority facilities is necessary for the purpose of on-site inspection, specific arrangements shall be made during normal business hours through the office of the Project Engineer (732-750-5300 ext. 8262) at least 72 hours in advance of such anticipated use. Prequalification or renewal of prequalification must be received by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority's (the "Authority") Engineering Department no later than August 8, 2023. Prequalification documents are available on the Authority's website All work under the Contract shall be performed and completed on or before Phase 1: The completion of work on Structure Nos. 169.2S, 169.3N, 170.1N and 170.1S (GSP NB & SB over Saddle River Road and GSP NB & SB over Glen Road) by December 13, 2024. Phase 2: All other scheduled work under this Contract shall be performed and completed on or before November 24, 2025. Bidders must be prequalified under Contract Classification 5, Bridge Structures, Rating Unlimited, prior to the receipt of bids. For proposals submitted by joint ventures, each member of the joint venture must be prequalified in the Contract Classification, and the sum of the ratings held by each member must be within 10 percent of the total price bid by the joint venture. In cases where the sum of the ratings exceeds $10 million, the joint venture's rating will be Unlimited. Proposals are invited for Contract No. P100.583 which involves replacing fascia bay deck slabs; replacing bridge and wingwall parapets; repairing deck spalls; reconstructing deck joints; removing asphalt surfacing; placing new membrane waterproofing; resurfacing approach roadways and bridge decks; pavement striping; substructure repairs; prestressed beam repairs; lighting; all necessary traffic control, utility coordination, and local agency coordination; other incidental work on eight structures; and all other work required in the successful prosecution of the work along the Garden State Parkway from Milepost 169.2 to 171.7 in Bergen County, New Jersey.
