Renovation of a municipal facility in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,300-square-foot municipal facility.
The City of Hopkinsville will be accepting Sealed Bids for replacement of old first city bank building, 6,300sf.All bids are to be submitted on and in accordance with the attached Bid Form. The form must be signed by an authorized representative of the bidder and dated in the appropriate space. A company representative must have visit the site location and completed inspection of roof before placing a bid. Additional information or clarification of any of the instructions or information contained herein may be obtained from the Public Works Director at (270) 890-0600. The successful bidder(s) will be required to possess a City of Hopkinsville business license prior to the official award of the contract and for the duration of the contract period. Specifications are based on City needs and standards to meet specific City requirements. Specifications are not established arbitrarily to limit competition or to exclude otherwise competitive bidders. In case of disputes as to whether the service quoted or delivered meets specifications, the decision of the City Public Works Director or other authorized City representative shall be final and binding on all parties. Bidder's Responsibility to the City The City of Hopkinsville will hold each bidder responsible for compliance with all specifications and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to this bid and any subsequent contract. Contract Period The successful bidder will have 120 days from the date the contract is signed to complete roof replacement of Probation and Parole Office roof. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Before awarding any contract, the City shall have the right to require a bidder to submit evidence of his or her qualifications concerning financial and technical resources to guarantee responsiveness to the contract. Failure of any bidder to demonstrate to City officials the ability to be responsive shall be grounds for rejecting the bid. Bidder must have ten (10) years of experience in commercial roof replacement. Bidder shall provide five (5) references of comparable work. The City reserves the right to award alternate contracts when the first contractor cannot perform the work within the timetable specified by the City Specifications or Scope of Work Existing roof will be cleaned and pressure washed. 2.8lb. SPF will be sprayed in place at an average thickness of 1 inches. Benchmark Acrylic Base Coat will be applied over foam at a minimum of 2 gallon per square. White Puma XL Top Coat will be applied over Base Coat at a minimum rate of 2 gallons per square. Complete roof will have (2) layers of coatings, be white in color, seamless, waterproof, and will have an (20) year no leak RENEWABLE WARRANTY. The City of Hopkinsville will grant a delay up to fifteen business (15) days for each day Contractor cannot work due to rain or wet conditions. The City of Hopkinsville will conduct a Pre-Construction Meeting with the Contractor within one (1) week after the Contract has been awarded.
