Renovation of a municipal facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Hurricane Repair Project All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check or cashiers check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, which shall be written by a surety. The District/Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause The work will be substantially completed within one hundred eighty one (181) calendar days after the date when the contract time commences to run as established in the Notice to Proceed. Scope of Work The DISTRICT hereby agrees to engage the CONTRACTOR to provide the construction activity, products and/or services inclusive in the DISTRICTs Bid identified as Bid # SD2022-WW5-221. This project includes construction activities to repair the damages to the water plant office building caused by Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Any additional construction activity, products and/or services not specifically listed in the Bid but required by the DISTRICT and available to the CONTRACTOR may be added to the terms of this agreement at a mutually agreed upon price, subject to the verification of cost reasonableness of said change order. Any change order is also subject to any grant limitations.
