The City of Castlegar invites bids for construction of a Geotube laydown area and filtrate collection system within the existing north basin (currently empty) using fill, an impermeable liner, non-woven geotextile, drain rock and drain pipes. The Owner invites bids for construction of the Work, which in general terms, will consist of the following: Construction of a Geotube laydown area and filtrate collection system within the existing north basin (currently empty) using fill, an impermeable liner, non-woven geotextile, drain rock and drain pipes. Supply and install of a polymer activation and injection system contained in a heated shipping container. Shipping container site preparation. Supply and install site piping and valves to convey waste activated sludge (WAS) to the Geotube system as shown in the Contract Drawings. Supply and install of all ancillary piping and connection fittings (activation water, Geotube fill hoses, etc.) to integrate the Geotube system with existing processes. Electrical upgrades required for the Geotube system. Supply and installation of two 22.5 ft (6.9m) wide, 42.5' (13m) long Geotubes. Startup of the Geotube system with operator training.
