Alston Ave., Durham NC 27701 Sherwood Park- 1720 Cheek Road, Durham NC 27703 Renovation of existing basketball court at East End Park. Scope includes concrete crack repair, concrete waterproofing, acrylic latex colour coating and striping for basketball. Sherwood Park - 1720 Cheek Road, Durham, NC 27703 Conversion of existing basketball courts to three (3) pickleball courts. Scope includes removal of four (4) existing basketball goals, concrete waterproofing. The City of Durham desires that firms doing business with the City pay their workers a livable wage rate while working on City contracts. The livable wage rate is $18.46 per hour. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for contracts exceeding $300,000. If performance and payment bonds are required, the City requires the use of its performance bond and payment bond form unless, after consulting the City Attorney's office, the project manager finds that different bond forms satisfactorily protect the City. Before bidding, each bidder should show the City bond form to its bonding company to be sure it can promptly issue the bond on that form in the event the contract is awarded to it. Each bond must be for 100% of the contract amount and must be executed by a NC-licensed sure. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. The City of Durham further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. The City of Durham may also reject the Bid of any Bidder if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder. The City of Durham also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate terms with the Successful Bidder. Renovation of existing athletic courts at two park locations: East End Park- 1200 N. Alston Ave., Durham NC 27701: o Clean and Prep existing concrete basketball court surface o Repair cracks in concrete o Fill control joints o Application of 2-Part Epoxy waterproofing o Application of primer o Acrylic coat and court striping Sherwood Park- 1720 Cheek Road, Durham NC 27703: o Remove and dispose of 4 existing basketball goals o Clean and Prep existing concrete court surface o New permanent pickleball posts and nets (x3) o Fill control joints o Application of 2-Part Epoxy waterproofing o Application of primer o Acrylic coat and striping for 3 pickleball courts o New perimeter black vinyl coated chain link fence (6' high on 3 sides, 4' high on one side) o Alternate #1 - o Remove approximately 2,000 sf of existing asphalt, regrade and reseed o Remove two existing concrete court pads at (approximately 3,100 sf), regrade and reseed o Remove and dispose of 2 existing basketball goals o Alternate #2 - o Replace approximately 470 lf asphalt walkway - 5' wide o Alternate #3 - o New 5' wide asphalt walkway - approximately 220 lf o Install 2 x 8" diameter HDPE culverts below asphalt pathway at low point between pickleball courts and existing picnic pavilion, coordinate with Owner. Culverts to be 10' long, centered on path, with mitered ends to meet adjacent grades of new asphalt path.
