Site work, remodeling and renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot in N Wildwood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the remodel of a sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of September 8, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Scope of work for this Contract comprises of a base bid which includes the rehabilitation of the Wildwood Boardwalk from Oak Avenue to Schellenger Avenue (Phase III) and the complete replacement of the Cedar Avenue Connector section of boardwalk running East to West (Phase IV). This contract also includes three alternate bid items which are boardwalk rehabilitation per block heading south starting at Schellenger Avenue and ending at Spicer Avenue (Phase V). The scope for Phase III, Oak Avenue to Schellenger Avenue, includes the careful removal of the existing IPE decking to expose the glulam framing beneath. The glulam stringers and some girders currently have wood rot and need timber repairs. After the repairs and improvements are carried out the existing IPE decking is to be reinstalled. The scope of Phase IV, Cedar Avenue Boardwalk, includes the demolition and complete removal of the existing boardwalk and substructure. This phase also includes the partial removal of the cantilevered concrete slab on the north side of the boardwalk and two existing light poles. Once all demolition is completed the construction on the replacement boardwalk can begin. Replacement will include new timber piles, girders, framing, and decking. Also included in this phase is a new archway sign, railings, perforated metal fencing, bike racks, light poles and other boardwalk amenities. The Scope of the alternate bid items, Phase V, the scope includes the removal and replacement of the existing timber portions of the existing boardwalk; removal and replacement of the existing boardwalk railings; removal and replacement of the existing boardwalk lighting; the removal of the existing concrete trolley slabs; the repair of the existing concrete substructure; reconstruction of existing timber boardwalk outcrops and installation of new timber stairs.
