Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Naval Weapons Station, Virginia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Scope of Work: (Demo existing air compressor, install new air compressor, disconnect and reconnect power, piping, and, concrete slab removal, testing, commissioning) Provide and install new compressor of equal capacity and capability based on current compressor package data. New unit shall be equipped with a dryer and filter to eliminate condensation buildup. The location of the new compressor will require demolition of an existing raised concrete pad (approximately 4' x 5' x 1') within the same mechanical room roughly 20' adjacent to current unit. Demolish existing wall mounted angle iron shelf (approximately 1' x 2' x 2') and relocate of a small compressor parts cabinet (approximately 4' x 4' x 2') to accommodate new unit. Cut, cap and relocate mechanical piping and electrical to commission compressor in the new location. Route condensate to nearest floor drain. There are double doors along the west wall with approximately 55" clearance [when opened] to facilitate ingress/egress of equipment. NOTE: new compressor must NOT contain cellular feature typically installed in newer units due to explosive safety requirements! estimated price range between $75,000 and $125,000.
