AWARD - The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder pursuant to the provisions of the New York State General Municipal Law. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - A Proposal bond, certified check or bank check in the amount of 5% of the Proposal must accompany the submission The Village of Rye Brook reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities at its discretion, and to award contracts in a manner deemed to be in the best interests of the Village of Rye Brook even if such award is to other than the lowest bidder. Scope of Work Remove and replace existing roof structure and framing over 2 sections of covered walkway. Remove and replace lighting as per plans. Install new framing and roofing material as outlined on plans. Clean and Stain all Cedar existing framing, new framing as per plans. Contractors shall sand and paint steel post caps on all brick columns. Paint shall be oil based black glossed rustoleum. Contractors shall understand that the scope of work listed here is descriptive in nature and a guide. Contractors are to familiarize themselves with Architectural drawings sheets A-1 through A-3 as prepared by John G. Scarlato Jr. which show the full scope and detail of work.
