Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Site Directions: Play Area is located southeast of Swim Pond at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Lake Elmo, MN. Major quantities include: Remove Play Equipment 1 Lump Sum, Remove Concrete Walk 395 Sq Yd, Type SP 9.5 Wearing Course Mixture (3,C) 56 Ton, Stone Retaining Wall 137 Ton This Work consists of excavating trenching, furnish and installing pipe, installing geotextile fabric, and backfilling for 4" perforated draintile in accordance with MnDOT 2502 and the Plans. This Work consists of furnishing and installing Truncated Dome Systems at pedestrian curb ramps in accordance with the Public Rights-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), MnDOT 2521 and special provision (2521) Concrete Walk ADA. This Work consists of providing additional traffic control devices in accordance with (2563) Temporary Traffic Control and as authorized by the Engineer. The Engineer is authorized to: (1) Require extra traffic control devices in addition to the traffic control devices shown in the Traffic Control Plan or in the Field Manual. (2) Require additional traffic control devices for EXTRA WORK. (3) Require extended use for all traffic control devices which are impacted by excusable and compensable delays, as defined in MnDOT 1806.2B. (4) Negotiate compensation for a Lump Sum Payment This Work consists of furnishing, installing, maintaining, and removing all traffic control devices required to provide safe movement of traffic and pedestrians through the Project at all times from commencement of the Work until Project Acceptance. Maintain roads and pedestrian facilities undergoing improvements in a condition that accommodates public traffic. Do not close roads or pedestrian facilities, except as authorized. The Engineer may modify the requirements for traffic control as deemed necessary. The Department will maintain Detour Roads for through traffic diverted from the Project unless otherwise indicated in the Plan. The use of maintenance crossovers in or near the construction area is permitted if authorized by the Engineer. All temporary traffic management must conform to and be installed in accordance with: o the "Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MN MUTCD); o the "Minnesota Temporary Traffic Control Field Manual" (Field Manual); o the "Speed Limits in Work Zones Guidelines"; o the "Minnesota Flagging Handbook"; o the "MnDOT Standard Signs and Markings Manual"; o the Plan; o all applicable standard Specifications and Special Provisions. This Geotechnical and Pavement Evaluation Report addresses the proposed design and construction of the Central Greenway Regional Trail Trailhead Improvements, located at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. We understand, depending on budget available, the project will include expansion of the Eagle Point Trailhead parking lot, stormwater treatment, restroom facilities, lighting, and trailhead amenities. Additional pavement areas may be improved, including the main entrance road into the park, the campground parking lot and surrounding roadways, and the swimming pond parking lot and surrounding roadways.
