However, the following are brand required due to "The equipment has been standardized within National Weather Services-Southern Region (NWS-SR) and has passed all required information technology security protocols. This specific equipment is required to ensure SRH can provide internal support, back-up software changes, and keep security systems operational at each of the region's Weather Forecast Office's if a local controller was to fail. All licensing is contained in the Extreme Controller at SRH."
