Description

Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

NAVFAC SW - Dry Docks Capstan Repairs & Replacement This NAVFAC SW task order consists of work that includes performing various repairs to the capstans at Dry Docks 1, 2, & 4. The project will replace existing capstan barrels with new, taller barrels; replace entire capstan assemblies, including the barrel, motor and VFD; modifications to the existing structural footing and electrical systems to accommodate new capstans and incidental related work. This project is Prevailing Wage. Project duration is 634 days. The project site will be operational during repairs/replacement. Trades required: Temporary Office Trailer, Temporary Storage Trailers, Portable Restrooms, Temporary Fencing, Utility Locating, Concrete Scanning, Material Testing, Special Inspections, Demolition, Lead Abatement, Structural Concrete Repair, Concrete Reinforcing (Rebar), Metal Fabrications (Bolts, Anchors, etc.), Painting, Electrical & Marine Construction (Capstans).
