THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnishing all equipment, materials, labor, and transportation necessary for Sign Removal and Installation in accordance with the Statement of Work. This is a request for offers at this time. The solicitation requirements and contract documents, to include instructions for submission, and the response date are within this solicitation. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access www.SAM.gov. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 237310 with a Small Business Size Standard of $45 Million. ALL OFFERORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. Contractor shall furnish all equipment, tools, materials, and labor to provide (5) 10' tall x 10' wide "Speed Limit" signs and (8) 2' tall x 3' wide "Danger" signs in accordance with this statement of work. The new signs will replace existing deteriorated signs and shall be placed in the same , (4) locations on bridge piers and (1) location on land. It is expected that contractors will use aerial manlifts from the service road to reach out over the water to the signs located on the bridge piers. Contractors are responsible to assess and provide the properly sized aerial lifts to complete this work. The aerial manlifts calculated weights must include all tools, equipment, and materials in addition to the weight of personnel. Work includes demolition, removal and proper disposal or recycling of the existing signs. Work includes fencing, signage, barricades, and traffic control devices necessary to protect the general public from hazards within the work area. (See figures 1-2 and Photos 1-9). Locations The work area is at (5) locations on federal property along the Cape Cod Canal: the Bourne Bridge North and South side Piers (2), the Sagamore Bridge North and South side Piers (2), and Hog Island (1). Contractor shall remove existing signs and install (1) - 10'x10' "Speed Limit" sign and (2) "Danger Keep Off" signs at each bridge pier. All bridge piers are located over the water of the Cape Cod Canal. Contractor shall remove and install (1) - 10'x10' "Speed Limit" sign at Hog Island. The project area is open to the public at any time. Interested vendors can inspect the existing conditions of the work area at any time.
