Site work for a water / sewer project in Palm Desert, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of December 20, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. 1. The project consists of installing approximately 21,454, linear feet of 30-inch and 4,429 linear feet of 12-inch diameter water main pipe with restrained joints, including valves, fittings, polyethylene encasement, imported sand, testing, disinfection, clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfill and compaction of backfill, potholing all utility crossings, surface restoration and all necessary appurtenances complete and in place. The pipeline work also includes: excavation of jacking and receiving pits, shoring of trenches and pits as required, pipe jacking operations, and all related backfill and compaction. Portions of the pipeline will cross above ground the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel, Buchanan Street Channel and Lincoln Street Channel within a steel casing with pipe bridge supports, rip rap removal and replacement, and concrete slope protection as indicated in the Contract Documents. 2. Existing CVWD Irrigation Lateral Nos. 97.1-4.3 and 98.0 shall be replaced as indicated in the Contract Documents. 3. Installation of the Pressure Reducing Station includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, grading, excavation, compaction, installation of concrete pad, security fence, new electrical service, all piping, 12-inch diameter zinc-coated restrained joints and V-Bio Polyethylene encased ductile iron pipe, connections, pipe supports, and all mechanical components as indicated in the Contract Documents. 4. Destruction of Manuela Garcia Mobile Home Park well, removing and disposing of all well appurtenances, remove connection to existing potable water system, connection to the public water system and associated onsite work as indicated in the Contract Documents. 5. Saint Anthony Mobile Home Park and Seferino Huerta Mobile Home Park remove connection to existing potable water system well and connect to the public water system and associated onsite work as indicated in the Contract Documents. 6. Work shall also include protecting in place or removing and replacing all existing utilities and private and public improvements, including, but not limited to, curbs, gutters, concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, landscaping, landscaping irrigation facilities, traffic striping, power poles, guy wires, street lights, signs, fences, and walls.
