Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and for paving for a pre-engineered storage facility.

As of February 7, 2024, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. This project involves the renovation of an existing two-story building at 822 Geary Street and the installation of a new prefabricated modular building at 629 Hyde Street for two new outpatient clinics that will serve people experiencing homelessness: a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and a Wellness Hub, formerly referred to as an Overdose Prevention Program Services Site (OPPSS). The CSU is a short-term, urgent care clinic that will occupy the first floor of the existing building. The Wellness Hub is a part of San Francisco's Overdose Prevention Plan intended to reduce the number of overdose deaths in San Francisco and will be located in the new prefabricated modular building at 629 Hyde Street. The existing building at 822 Geary Street is a Qualified Historical Building per CHBC Section 8-201 and is listed on the National Register and California Register as a contributor to the Upper Tenderloin Historic District. It was previously a Goodwill Industries Store with a Group M occupancy classification. This project will change the occupancy of the building to a Group B occupancy classification. Renovations to the existing building includes but are not limited to structural improvement to concrete footings and grade beams, new wood shear walls and floor sheathing; new roofing; new exterior doors and windows; new HVAC system; new plumbing systems; new electrical service; new lighting; new security and video camera system; new fire alarm and sprinklers; and new interior floor, wall and ceiling finishes; and new signage. The site at 629 Hyde Street, which is adjacent to the building at 822 Geary Street, served as the parking lot for the former Goodwill Industries store with direct access to the building's second floor. In addition to procuring and installing the prefabricated modular building, site improvements at 629 Hyde Street include but are not limited to: demolition of existing shed; new concrete paving; new retaining walls; new metal fencing and gate; new trellis with fabric and glass canopy; and new signage. 277 consecutive calendar days from NTP to Substantial Completion. The Small Business Enterprise (SBE) subcontracting requirement for this project is 20%. Bidder is required to perform good faith efforts regardless of if the goal is met. Bid discounts per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B are not applicable to this contract.
