The quantities of work or material stated in unit price items of the Bid are supplied only to give an indication of the general scope of Work; the Owner does not expressly or by implication agree that the actual amount of work or material will correspond therewith, and reserves the right afterward to increase or decrease the quantity of any unit price item of the Work by any amount up to and including twenty percent (20%) of any Bid Item, without a change in the unit price, and shall have the right to delete any Bid Item in its entirety, or to add additional Bid Items up to and including an aggregate total amount not to exceed twenty percent (20%) of the Contract Price. The purpose of the Pre-Bid Conference is to make certain that the scope of work is fully understood, to answer any questions, to clarify the intent of the Contract Documents, and to resolve any problems that may affect the project construction. No addendum will be issued at this meeting, but subsequent thereto, the Purchasing Manager, if necessary, will issue an addendum(s) to clarify the intent of the Contract Documents. Bids received from firms or individuals not listed on the roll of attendees of the Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be rejected and returned unopened to the bidder.
