The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as "Owner", on behalf the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia ("Using Agency" or ''BOR'') and Albany State University, is seeking firms interested in providing construction management at risk services for a project known as J-405 - Billy C. Black Building Renovation, Albany State University, Albany Georgia. Monday, August 21, 2023 2:00 PM Deadline for written questions The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $7,000,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. Monday, September 18, 2023 2:00 PM Deadline for written questions Project Schedule Design of the Project is expected to commence by Fall 2023 with construction documents anticipated for the state of construction in Summer 2024. The start of construction is contingent on the availability of funding, but funding is already available for the CM/CGs preconstruction services. (All of the dates above are estimates which are subject to change.) Project Description This Project will consist of the interior renovation of approximately 12,000 GSF in the Billy C. Black Building in order to consolidate multiple academic departments, increase space efficiency, and provide more efficient and updated educational spaces. Confirmed Shortlist.
