Renovation of a municipal facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Instructions: Vendors invited to submit bids are urged to have a representative present at the site visit and appraise themselves of the conditions and requirements which will affect the performance of the work called for by this invitation for bid. Vendor is cautioned that any information released to attendees during the site visit, other than that involving the physical aspects of the facility referenced above, and which conflicts with, supersedes, or adds to requirements in this invitation for bid, must be confirmed by written addendum before it can be considered to be a part of this bid. A 5% bid bond is not required for this project. Performance and Payment Bonds are not required for this project SUMMARY OF WORK - CUMBERLAND COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES The work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the replacement of the Cumberland County Animal Services boiler. Scope of work includes: o Contractor to disconnect all control wiring, power supply, and piping up to existing isolation valves and remove and dispose of existing Lochinvar gas-fired hot water boiler. o Contractor to provide all labor and materials necessary to install a new Lochinvar 1,800,000 BTU Natural-gas fired hot water boiler or unit of the same or equivalent quality that will meet all minimum standards in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. Manufacturer's specs attached. o Contractor is responsible for confirming new Hot Water Boiler Unit is sized sufficiently for building size and occupant load, will fit in existing Boiler footprint, and existing flue piping may be reused. o New Hot Water Boiler unit should include in addition to standard features: BACNet MS/TP card compatible with Cumberland County Building Automation System. Emergency shut-off switch installed at doorway inside the mechanical room. Low Temperature Protection Valve o Contractor to remove and replace existing boiler circulation pump with assembly of matching voltage and flow characteristics. Original pump to be retained by Cumberland County. o Contractor to provide pricing for option to replace hot water supply pump 1 and hot water supply pump 2 with Bell & Gossett assemblies of matching voltage and flow characteristics. Original pumps to be retained by Cumberland County. o Contractor will be responsible for providing and installing all pipe, valves, and fittings required to connect hot water loop to new hot water boiler. o Contractor will be responsible for providing and installing all pipe, valves, and fittings required to connect new gas train provided with the new boiler, to connect vent piping to new gas train, and to connect hot water return and supply loop to the new boiler. o Contractor will be responsible for providing and installing all pipe, valves and fittings to connect make-up water to boiler. All make-up water piping to be copper. o Contractor will furnish and install all pipe hangers and supports as required to support the pipe independently from the boiler. o Contractor will be responsible for insulating all new pipe that was previously insulated with new insulation to match existing. o Contractor will be responsible for replacing all load side conductors from any disconnect switch serving existing boiler to all new hot water boiler components. o Contractor may reuse existing flue piping as long as it is sized sufficiently for new Hot Water Boiler. o Contractor will be responsible for verifying all isolation valves are in good working order and can be reused or include replacement cost in their bid. Contractor to furnish all crane, rigging, and trucking as needed for this project and shall be responsible for any and all damage to equipment done during transportation, installation, and prior to turnover to Cumberland County. o Contractor to provide copies of all permits required to complete work to owner upon request. No work shall commence until all appropriate permits have been issued. o Project will not be deemed complete until Contractor has passed all required inspections, performed factory start-up per the manufacturer's instructions, and all Controls work has been completed. See below for Controls requirement: Controls requirement: o Contractor to be responsible for all costs associated with connecting new equipment to Cumberland County's existing building automation system in coordination with Johnson Controls, LLC, and ensuring all systems are fully functional prior to turnover to Cumberland County.
