The scope of the Base work, without limiting the generality thereof, shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supervision to: sawcut and excavate (or mill) full depth of the center area of the Basketball Court; mill/grind off all court line striping; fine grade and compact excavated area; pave excavated area with binder course hot mix asphalt; apply asphalt emulsion tack coat to the entire basketball court; pave entire court with surface course; remove existing goals and install new; paint new white line striping and any other work The Director of the Department of Labour and Work force Development has established the Schedule found in Division One of the Specifications, listing the prevailing minimum wage rates that must be paid to all workers employed on the Contract. Such Schedule shall continue to be the minimum rate of wages payable to workers on this Contract throughout the term of the Contract. The Contractor shall not have any claim for extra compensation from the Awarding Authority if the actual wages paid to employees on the Contract exceeds the rates listed on the Schedule. The Contractor shall cause a copy of said Schedule to be kept in a conspicuous place at the Project site during the term of the Contract. (See M .G.Lc.149 26-27H.) I freserve officers are employed by the Contractor, they shall be paid the prevailing wage of regular police officers.(See M.G.Lc.149 §34B) The University reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any Proposal if it determines it is in the Public Interest to do so.Awarding Authority reserves the right to perform construction or operations related to the Project with the Awarding Authority's own forces, and to award separate contracts in connection with other portions of the Project or otherconstruction or operations on the site. If the Contractor claims that delay or additional cost is involved because of such action by the Awarding Authority, the Contractor shall make such claim as provided elsewhere in the Contract Documents If you choose to utilize a bid bond, you need to attach a scanned copy of the Bond into Jaggaer Sourcing Director, no hard copies are necessary. If you choose to utilize a Certified Check, you may upload a scanned copy of your Certified Check when submitting your bid, the scanned copy must be followed up with a hard copy delivered to the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST), 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 within 72 hours after the bid opening.
