The work consists of electrical equipment procurement, temporary electrical service and site preparation at Cromwell Middle School, 6 Captain James Mann Memorial Drive, Cromwell CT 06146. The work will be separately contracted per the bid packages below: (bid package scopes of work are located in the Specifications). This Project will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder including slected alternatives. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or any part of any bid, waive any informalities, irregularities, omissions or technical defects in the bids when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Owner or Construction Manager. All proposals should be addressed to Newfield Construction in a sealed envelope. Project name, bidder's name and address and the bid package number should be written on the envelope. No oral, telephone, or telegraphic proposals will be considered. All bids shall stand available for acceptance for a period of ninety (90) days from the date bids are opened. No bidder may withdraw their bid during this period. All bidders must comply with all provisions of Connecticut General Statutes 31-53 (Prevailing Wages) and Executive Order #3. This project is being performed under a Construction Manager/Contractor agreement. Newfield Construction is the Construction Manager. Review and include all terms of the Newfield's Trade Contract Agreement located in the Bid Documents.
