The Village is seeking bids to supply and apply Asphalt Rejuvenating Agent. The location is approximately 600 meters (1.2km) of 2 lanes on Ontario Street. The application is for just the travel portion of the street, not parking stalls along the street. A diagram of the section of Street is included in schedule "A". We are seeking complete pricing for a 2023 Completion date. The asphalt rejuvenating agent shall be composed of a naphathenic petroleum resin maltene oil base uniformly emulsified with water. The rejuvenating agent shall have a record of atleast 10 years of satisfactory service in Ontario, as a rejuvenating agent and in depth sealer on municipal roadways. Acceptable emulsions must contain the maltene structured in such a manner, and in sufficient quantity, to manipulate the chemical composition of the various maltene elements of the asphalt cement present in the existing asphalt. The maltene parameter is (PC+A1)/(S+A2). Each submission shall include a certified statement from the asphalt rejuvenator manufacturer showing that the asphalt rejuvenating emulsion conforms to all of the specifications included in this document as well as all listed physical and chemical requirements. Material Specifications - Rejuvenator Rejuvenator Test procedure identical with ASTM D-244 60 except that .02 Normal Calcium Chloride solution shall be used in place of distilled water. Test procedure identical with ASTM D-244 except that distilled water shall be used in place of 2% sodium oleate solution.
