The City owns and operates the Central and South Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facilities (AWWTFs) as well as a portion of the sanitary sewer collection systems which discharge to the plant. The Central AWWTF has a capacity of 11 mgd AADF and the South AWWTF has a capacity of 12 mgd AADF. The City is seeking Professional Qualifications from Engineering Firms to provide Engineering Services on an as needed basis specific to the Wastewater Treatment Facilities and Collection System. The intent of this RFQ is to select one (1) firm to provide these services. The selected firm shall be required to have substantial experience in Wastewater Treatment Operations. The selected firm will be responsible for providing complete engineering services for a wide range of projects as may be required by the City of Fort Myers. Work assignments may include, but are not limited to: o Treatment process evaluations and consulting services o Collection system evaluations and consulting services o Permitting o Studies o Design of projects under the CCNA threshold o Preparation of annual capacity analysis reports o Regulatory assistance o Staff augmentation The firm shall be responsible for knowledge and compliance with all relative local, state, federal codes and regulations. The firm awarded this contract shall be a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Florida and actively in charge and responsible for the operations, personnel, management, and supervision while performing all required services.
