Site work for a water / sewer project in Wailuku, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of December 28, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The project involves a repairing a portion of the Wailuku River streambank and providing protection from future erosion. Construction work includes embankment grading to restore the streambank and hard armoring to prevent erosion. To protect the toe of the armoring from undermining, the hard lining will extend below the predicted scour depth. During construction, a temporary cofferdam will be used to divert streamflow around the active grading area.
