Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.
Subject project calls for a proposal to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and transport needed in performing all work required to remove/replace all Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) Lights, located on the CCSFS Skid Strip, per UFC 3-535-01 (Visual Air Navigation Facilities). Each end of the runway has 4 PAPI lights that work together as a single navigation device for pilots. GENERAL a) Project Overview: The contractor shall provide all planning, labor, and supervision necessary to remove/replace all Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) Lights, located on the CCSFS Skid Strip, per UFC 3-535-01 (Visual Air Navigation Facilities). Each end of the runway has 4 PAPI lights that work together as a single navigation device for pilots. b) Contractor shall provide coordinated shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication and installation. c) All work must comply with UFC, IBC, safety, and health codes, NFPA codes, and all other applicable standards, codes, and requirements with latest amendments. d) Under no circumstances is the Contractor to begin any work until the Contracting Officer issues a "Notice to Proceed". NTP will be issued within 15 calendar days of contract award. e) Verify all quantities and dimensions. Note any discrepancies to Space Force Project manager. The Government will be notified of any modifications to the project. f) The Space Force is committed to effective environmental compliance and stewardship. This commitment is accomplished by complying with federal, state, and local environmental statutes and regulations. g) The Contractor shall use skilled workers, an adequate number of which are thoroughly trained and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the necessary crafts and who are completely familiar with the specified requirements and the methods needed for the proper of the work in each section of these specifications. h) Contractor or their subcontractors shall be licensed by the State of Florida or have an equivalent out-of-state license in all areas applicable to this contract or as otherwise stated elsewhere in this contract. Copies of licenses and certificates shall be provided to the Contracting Officer. Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall be licensed by the State of Florida. Deadline 09/15/2023 at 10:00 AM ET . a) Demo of 4 East and 4 west PAPI lights, and replace with new. b) Replace all ground clamps, ground tails and #4 bare wire. c) Replace 2" rigid conduit and nipples, 3 per light. d) Size the rigid conduit per field dimensions. e) Replace power whips and WP splices at each light. f) Comply with Certified FAA L-880 & L-881 AC 150/5345-28 (current edition), Precision Approach Path Indicator Lighting g) After installation, the lights will need to be leveled and a flight check will need to be performed using UFC 3-535-01 FAA and 3-7.3 Photometric Requirements NOTE 1: Clean up all debris and dispose of properly daily and prior to final inspection *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
