The Ronald Kirk Bridge Deck is now a pedestrian park and has been overlaid with asphalt and given a decorative treatment (etched pattern and color coated with StreetBond). The topical coating needs servicing (cleaned and re-coated) Street Bond is a water based-epoxy coating system specifically formulated for asphalt. StreetBond or approved equal is to be used for the recoating with colors to match existing color. Questions Due Date: Aug 21st 2023, 12:00 PM CDT Questions and Inquiries: All questions must be submitted electronically through the City's solicitation portal, https://dallascityhall.bonfirehub.com/login. The City will respond to all questions by way of addendum which will be posted as part of the solicitation. The City, its agents, and employees shall not be responsible for any information given by way of verbal communication. The deadline for the submission of questions is on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. CST. Sections Clean and re-coat 33,400 square feet of bridge deck from the west end of the labyrinth to the west end of the bridge deck. - Prior to re-coating deck will need to be cleaned using power washing with water only. - Certified applicators. - Provide a 5-year product warranty at no additional expense to the City. - StreetBond is to be applied by sprayer or roller as directed by the manufacturer at a rate of 200 sq. ft. per 5-gallon unit of material. - Proper masking is to be achieved to provide clean, crisp edging between colored sections and around the various components on the desk (planters, furniture, light poles, etc.) - In order to maintain typical activities on the bridge the work will need to be done 1/2 at a time by coning off work zones. The work may need to be suspended in order to accommodate special activities. Only construction vehicle required to move equipment will be allowed on the bridge.
