Question Acceptance Deadline 08/15/2023 at 12:00 AM MT Questions are submitted online An acceptable bidder's bond payable to the City in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total for the bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. The completion of the work covered by this contract within the time specified is essential to minimize the impact on the public. Therefore, liquidated damages in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) per day will be withheld from payments due the Contractor for each working day necessary to complete the contract after the expiration of the specified contract time, plus any authorized time extensions. Removal of Pavement Marking Symbol; complete. Removal of pavement marking symbols to include but not limited to arrow, word "only", bike symbol, and bike sharrow, etc. Allowed removal methods include water blasting or other acceptable methods that do not materially damage the existing surface or texture of the pavement or surfacing. The symbol shall not be removed by blacking out with paint. This work shall be governed by Section 721, Pavement Marking Removal of the New Mexico State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction, 2019 Edition. This will include the cost of equipment, materials, water, disposal and labor to remove reflectorized pavement markings and cleaning of debris or any other deleterious materials. Payment shall be per symbol removed and accepted by the Project Manager. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project.
