Request for Professional Engineering Services The Town of Pound, Virginia (Town) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from interested firms to provide professional engineering services that support a variety of infrastructure and public works projects on an open-end basis. Services are anticipated to include general consulting, preparation of reports and funding applications, project design and preparation of design documents, construction administration, inspections and project representation as required. Firms will be evaluated based on applicant history, experience and qualifications of personnel, understanding of work and familiarity with the Town's infrastructure, experience working with government agencies such as Rural Development, Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality & Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and previous project response times as confirmed through three references. Informal interviews may be conducted. The Town reserves the right to award multiple contracts. The Town also reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions and to waive any formalities or technicalities it deems appropriate. This request is extended without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, status as a service disabled veteran, or any other basis prohibited by state law relating to discrimination in employment. Procurement proceeds will be in accordance with Virginia Public Procurement Act and per 2.2-4303 - professional services shall be procured by competitive negotiation. Small, women-owned, minority-owned and service disabled veteran-owned businesses are encouraged to submit. Statements of Qualifications will be received by Leabern Kennedy, Vice-Mayor, 8422 North River Road, Pound, Virginia 24279, not later than 3:00 PM on August 11, 2023. Six (6) copies shall be provided and each submittal must be clearly marked "ENGINEERING STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE TOWN OF POUND". Any cost associated with the submittal shall be the responsibility of the Firm(s) submitting. Any submittal received after the deadline will not be considered.
