This project consists of construction and improvements to the City of Norfolk's public tennis/pickleball and basketball facilities. Projects may include new construction and/or rehabilitation of existing court facilities. Some projects may be federally funded, therefore, full complaince with the Davis-Bacon Act will be required. This is an annual Indefinite Quantity Contract. This unit priced, indefinite quantity contract will have work orders issued for a base period of twelve (12) months with two additional option periods of twelve (12) months each, to be exercised at the discretion of the City. Question Submission Deadline:August 25, 2023, 4:00pm Liquidated Damages: .2% per Work Order per day If a contract is for $120,000.00 or more, or if the total value of all such construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any 12 month period is for $750,000.00 or more, the bidder is required under Title 54, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia, 1950 (as amended), to show evidence of being licensed as a Class A Contractor upon award of the contract. If a contract is $7,500.00 or more, but less than $120,000.00, or if the total value of all such construction, removal, repair or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any 12-month period is less than $150,000, the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a Class B Contractor upon award of the contract. If a contract is $1,000 or more, but less than $7,500, or if the total value of all such construction, removal, repair or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any 12-month period is less than $150,000, the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a Class C Contractor upon award of the contract.
