**As of November 13, 2023, this project is currently at the bid evaluation stage, no timeline for bid tabulation/award** Montgomery County, Maryland, is located on the northern border of Washington, D.C. and has a residential population of approximately 1.059 million. The Montgomery Countys Department of Transportation, Division of Parking Management, is responsible for the management and operation of the Countys Public Parking Program. This municipal program owns and operates over 21,000 public parking spaces in three distinct and economically diverse Parking Lot Districts (PLDs): Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Wheaton. Additionally, the County operates on-street parking meters in certain Transportation Management Districts (TMDs) such as North Bethesda, Great Seneca and Friendship Heights. The parking spaces are located both on and off-street. Presently, there are twenty (21) garages, nineteen (19) surface lots and over 3,900 on-street meters. The roof top of the above-ground garages offer opportunities for community solar projects and rooftop solar project that can contribute to the Countys climate action goals. Reference Number 0000326822 It is the intent of this RFDP for Montgomery County to enter into a contract with a firm (the Contractor) to provide a scalable Community Solar (Net Metering) Solution for combined output from above-ground multi-story garages (Garage 4, Garage 5, Garage 7 & Garage 9) to meet the maximum megawatt (MW) and megawatt hour (MWh) viable solar projects under the Washington SREC and/or Maryland SREC values and their respective TAX credit incentives for private third-party Contractors.
