Site work for a water / sewer project in Summit, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Which shall consist of the construction of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water main in trench; encasing pipe; pressure connections; gate valves; hydrants; pavement removal; pavement patching; and all appurtenant construction. All work will be in conformance with the Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois dated 2020 and the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, dated January 1, 2022. All Proposals must be accompanied by a Bank Cashiers Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check, or Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) Of the total amount of the Bid, or as provided in the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications. No Bid may be withdrawn after opening of Proposals without the consent of the Owner for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening of Bids. The Contractor will be required to furnish a labor and material Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The Contractor will be required to pay Prevailing Wages in accordance with all applicable laws. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive technicalities, and to accept the Proposal deemed to be most favorable to the Owner.
